Standards
MES offers several Standards regarding different aspects of the organization; both “in-character” systems such as venues and “out-of-character” such as how the MES works as an organization. They are educational tools about the venues and positions within the club. You have an unlimited amount of time to submit a Standard once you begin it. Somebody familiar with the subject matter should take a Standard in order to make sure what they know is aligned with MES policies. Somebody who isn’t can use the questions asked as a study method; taking an ordeal even though you don’t know the subject material is a great introduction to the subject. Additionally, passing a Standard is worth prestige. A member who is new to the organization can gain prestige quickly and become more familiar with the MES by passing their Standards. Additionally, some Standards are required to hold certain offices. If a new member passes all of their Standards, they will gain 700 prestige from them; enough prestige to become MC4.
